Yes! It’s the holidays, and in this episode, we are discussing the good, the bad, and all there is in between. It’s, Holiday Bells or Holiday Hells and we are digging into our different family traditions, the fun of spending time with family, as well as the stress of seeing some of those same family members. Also, ummmm, is there a Santa?!
Denise loves Christmas and doesn't mind spreading that Christmas joy across the family, starting July - yes July!! Brian feels Christmas can be a bit stressful, which stemmed from the years of lack within his childhood, but his love for family and the excitement of starting our own traditions has been a joy.
We continue this episode, reminiscing about the different ways our families celebrated the holidays according to their cultures, as well as, their financial standings. How the lack of finances made it hard on some holiday occasions, but how the giving spirit of Christmas always prevailed. We discuss what helping others looks like, even when it comes to helping our soldiers for the holidays. As well as the stress of family dynamics and dysfunctionality, especially during the holidays.
