The Church is supposed to be a safe space for the broken and wounded. The Church is supposed to be a place of healing for those wounded by others. The Church is supposed to be a place of peace for those wounded by life’s challenges. The Church is supposed to be a place where people can grow in their faith and experience God’s love and grace. But, sometimes that does not happen and in those instances, you can experience one of the ultimate pains of, “Church Hurt!”

Why do church folks give others a hard time for attending church only on Easter or other Holidays? The church has been around and available to all for thousands of years. It’s a place of worship, celebration, and inspiration. Unfortunately, it’s also a place where hurt and pain reside. There are people in the church who truly believe they are the holiest of them all and feel that gives them the authority to damage others mentally.

This topic comes at a time when the Diversity and Inclusion movement is at an all-time high. Society is either serious about it, exploring it, or jumping on the DE&I bandwagon because they feel it’s the “right now” trend. After this episode, some will be mad but others will be educated.
