Not only is there a generation gap but there is also a communication gap. As a result, we are disconnected and isolated from engagement and also, what's going on in our teenager's world today. The generation gap is real and present; it’s not going away, so we have to figure out how to bridge this gap.

It was such a joy to chat with Falisa and Wendell Ray, the authors of, the beautifully written book, entitled, “Raising Simba”.

We have been married for 33 years, and we are still in love and consider each other to be our best friends. We have had our ups and downs, but we have always managed to get through it all. One very critical key for us was learning how to communicate with each other and understanding that communication is at the very heart of any relationship. We discussed everything from racism to religion.
